As agreed by the members on the Spring-meeting 2001:
As a member (with a valid measurement certificate) you can sail regatta's that are organized by the F18 Organization as Formula18 catamaran.

In order to sail just one F18 weekend a year you will get dispensation for everything (F18 membership, measurement certificate). If you want to sail more then one regatta weekend, you will have to become a member of the F18 Organization and have a valid measurement certificate for your catamaran!

What are the advantages?

• You get to vote and can influence the F18 Organization
• You can sail all the F18 regatta's.
• You will receive the news-flits and developments.
• You can download the F18 memberlist
• You will get information about regatta's and the results.
• You will support the organization to arrange regattas according to the rules of the F18 Class.
• The F18 Organization can organize trainings and courses.
• The F18 Organization is the communication point at regattas.
• The F18 Organization is checking the Class Rules, measurement-letters and weigth-controls at every regatta for equal competitor ship.

Why are these mentioned here?

The F18 Organization noticed that a lot of sailors aren't a member of the class organization, but do compete in the regattas. Because only a small group will take the effort to sign in and become a member, the F18 Organization therefore has difficulties to organize F18 events (like the National Championship).
This means that the F18 Organization can't organize anything else, something different...
